Richard V. Garcia

Richard V. Garcia passed away on November 1, 2018 at the age of 72. He attended Miller High School and proudly served our Country in the U.S. Army from 1965-1968. Richard was the #1 Houston Texans fan and the #1 Dallas Cowboy hater! He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all whom loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Belen Garcia.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Anna Bartholomew (Bob); sons, Richard V. Garcia Jr. (Melissa) and Patrick Garcia; grandchildren, Keith Allen McKeand Jr., Ryan McKeand, Richard V. Garcia III, and Gabrielle Garcia-Osswald (Brandon); great grandchild, Layla McKeand; siblings, Carmen Budd (Raul), Juan Garcia, Belen Galvan (Juan), Reynaldo V. Garcia (Alicia), Alicia Galvan, Lupe Garcia (Gertrude), Jose B. Garcia (Esther), Eddie Garcia (Ruth), Susie Garcia-Ruiz (Trino), and Roberto Gilberto Garcia (Esmeralda); along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family. The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Right of Committal and Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
