Richard G. Vela, Jr.

Richard G. Vela, Jr. passed away on April 13, 2016. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard F. Vela, Sr. Richard leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Sylvia Vela; mother, Elvira G. Vela; children, Priscilla Vela (Mario Madrigal), Jacqueline Vela (Mike Ovalle), Mark Vela (Val Zamora), Richard Vela, III (Cindy Esparza); sisters, Anita Lagarde, Dalia Banda, Belma DeLeon, Diana Allen; brothers, Roy Vela, Refugio Vela; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara at Port on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 3 pm to 9 pm; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church at 10 am on Saturday, April 16, 2016. Cremation will follow.
