Robert Ratliff Rodriguez Jr.

Robert Ratliff Rodriguez Jr., age 72, passed away peacefully on February 27th, 2025, surrounded by his family at his bedside. He was born on October 7th, 1952, to Roberto Ruiz Rodriguez and Andrea Rebecca Ratliff Rodriguez in San Benito, Texas.

On March 14th, 1992, he married his loving wife of 34 years Deborah (Garza) Rodriguez in Harlingen, Texas. Robert cherished his role as a father to his 4 beautiful children, always being available for his family and offering unwavering support in their pursuits. His children fondly remember the wisdom he imparted and the joy he brought to their lives through his kindness and love. He left an indelible mark on their hearts, teaching them the importance of love, resilience, and integrity.

He worked for the Corpus Christi Army Depot for 34 years, where he was known for his dedication and expertise in aircraft maintenance until his retirement in 2015. Robert was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who dedicated his life to his family. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. His legacy lives on through the values he instilled in his children and grandchildren, who continue to carry forward his teachings of compassion, strength, and love. Robert's spirit will forever be a guiding light, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

Robert is preceded in death by his brother, Reynaldo Rodriguez + and his father, Roberto Ruiz Rodriguez +. Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Rodriguez; his children, Raeanne (Robert) Dominguez, Robert Rodriguez, Rhianna Rodriguez, and Ramanda (Aaron) Ayala; his mother, Andrea Rebecca Ratliff Rodriguez; his sisters, Rosie Rodriguez, Ruth (Carlos) Trevino, Ruby (Steve+) Aguilar, and Rowena Rodriguez; along with numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Robert’s family will receive condolences Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St., from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM; with Prayer Service to begin at 11:00 AM. Rite of Committal and Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
