Roberto F. Chacon

Roberto F. Chacon, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He loved fishing and boxing, but his passion was spending time with his family. He retired form Thurman and Fonder Glass Company after 20 years. Roberto is preceded in death by his parents, Modesto and Josefa Chacon; brother, Francisco Chacon; sisters, Adela Castillo, Catarina Ronje, Antonia Carranza, and Elida Espinosa. He leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Beatrice G. Chacon; daughter, Diana (Isidro) Zamora; son, Gilbert Myers Chacon; brother, Modesto (Elida) Cuellar; granddaughters, Donna (Rudy) Flores, Gina (Arnold) Rivera, Melissa Saldana; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great- great grandson, Landon Contreras; and numerous nephews and nieces. The family will be receiving friends for a Memorial Service at Trevino Funeral Home 3006 Niagara at Port on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 9:30 am. Burial of his cremains will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
