Rodolfo "Yoda" Rosales

Rodolfo “Yoda” Rosales of Mathis, Texas passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 at the age of 50. Rodolfo was born to Jose and Gloria Emma (Rios) Rosales on July 17, 1971 in Sinton, Texas and lived in Mathis all of his life. Anyone who knew Rodolfo, knew him by his childhood nickname, “Yoda.”

Yoda was known for always making his family and friends laugh, and for his love of dancing. He enjoyed music very much and spending time with those he loved. He was proud of being a Mathis Pirate, but everyone knew that he didn’t love any team more than he loved the Dallas Cowboys. His greatest love in life was his family, who can only imagine that he is smiling down at them. If they could hear him speak, he would say to them what he would tell everyone who needed to know it, “Sky’s the limit!”

He is preceded in death by his father and mother.

Family left behind with beautiful memories of Yoda include his wife, Raquel (Garcia) Rosales; his daughter, Marissa Rosales; his step-son, Ruben Ruiz Jr.; grandchildren, Landyn Trae Ruiz and Eliana Camila Ruiz; sisters, Esmeralda (Juan) Pena, Diana Rosales, and Irma (Jose) Romero, all of whom live in Mathis; and brother, Mario Rosales from Austin, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
