Rolando Tovar Ortiz

Rolando T. Ortiz passed away on November 20, 2021, at the age of 56. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Juan F. Ortiz; mother, Ester Tovar; siblings, Oralia Salinas, Noemi Salinas, Cesaria Lozano, Eluid Tovar, Moises Tovar, and Maria Antonia Serna.

He is survived by his family that will cherish his memories; wife, Lucy Ortiz; daughter, Valerie Pantoja (Mark); son, Roland Ortiz (Miranda Tijernia); granddaughter, Mia Genevieve Cervantes; siblings, Victor Manuel Tovar (Thelma), Sergio Tovar (Juanie), Jose Juan Ortiz (Laura), and FlorEstela Orta (Estevan+); and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, November 29, 2021, from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave; with a Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending services at this facility and at the church.
