Ronald Lund

Ronald Lund passed away peacefully at his home on June 8, 2020.  Born in Hampton, Iowa, Ron was a 1967 graduate of Urbana Community High School. He served 8 years in the USAF, including two tours of duty in Vietnam. After leaving the Air Force, Ron worked as an air traffic controller, cabinetmaker, salesman, and operated his own business for over 20 years. Ron had many hobbies including golf, flying radio-controlled helicopters, cooking and photography to name a few.

He was preceded in death by his father, Laurids “Pug” Lund; mother, Shirley Lund; mother-in-law, Lela Hay; and father-in-law, Roy Hay.

Among those left to cherish Ronald’s memory are his wife, Kay Lund; sons, John Lund, Robert (Robin) Lund, and Max (Nicolette Padron) Lund; daughter, Tiara (Jamal Jefferson) Lund; grandsons, Patrick Lund, Thomas Lund, and Andrew Lund; granddaughter, Eliana Carrillo; sister, Linda (Brian) Bolton; brothers, Bob (Vicki) Lund and Kevin (Phyllis) Lund; sister-in-law, Gloria (Floyd) Aguillard; and numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family.

A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 9:30 AM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port.  A Rite of Committal and Interment with Military Honors will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
