Ronney Aguilar Rodriguez

Ronney Rodriguez, age 54, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2021.  He was born on February 6, 1967 to Hilario “Lalo” and Yolanda Rodriguez in Corpus Christi, Texas where he was raised.  Ronney attended Foy H. Moody High School but then decided to attend Adult Learning Center to receive his GED.  He married the love of life, Norma Serna, on February 28, 2014.

Ronney was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Norma Serna Rodriguez.

Ronney loved to work with his hands and was a great mechanic; he was always working on a car or a small engine.  He loved to play BINGO and enjoyed having breakfast at his favorite local restaurants at Eddie’s Bakery and Ali’s Café where he met up with his friends almost daily.  God gave us many years together and we shared so many memories of love and laughter. He is now at peace with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ronney is preceded in death by his grandparents; and brothers-in- law, Joe G. Tamez Jr. III and Andrew James Serna.

Left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife, Norma Serna Rodriguez; his children: Adrienne (Fernando) Cardenas, Ronney Alexander Rodriguez, Gage (Fernanda) Rodriguez, and Gricelda Haley Rodriguez; step-children, Jacob (Jessica) Martinez, Jonathan (Victoria) Martinez, Melanie Martinez, and Robert Varga; and his grandchildren, Leah McGehee, Sophia Martinez, and Asa Cardenas.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM that evening. Services will conclude that evening.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
