Rosita Acuña Herrera

Rosita Acuña Herrera, affectionately known as "Bochie," was born on August 9, 1953, in Corpus Christi, Texas. After a fulfilling life dedicated to her family, she peacefully departed this world on October 17, 2025, in her hometown.

A proud graduate of Miller High School, Rosita’s joyful spirit and zest for life resonated with everyone who crossed her path. She held a deep passion for her favorite sports teams, the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys, which provided her with endless moments of excitement and camaraderie shared with friends and loved ones. Her love for finding treasures at garage sales and hosting them herself added layers of joy to her personality, often bringing family and friends together for charming gatherings that turned into cherished memories.

Above all, Rosita was a devoted family woman. She treasured the time spent with her grandchildren, Noah James Rivera and Natalie Rose Rivera, who were the light of her life. Her warmth and nurturing spirit extended to her husband, Eristeo Ibarra Herrera, and her son, George Rivera Jr.(Angelita), with whom she shared tremendous love and unwavering support.

Rosita is survived by her cherished family, including her siblings, Connie Villarreal (Arnold), Raul Acuña (Eva), Alfredo Acuña (Alice), Diana Herrera (Marcos✟), and David Acuña (Michelle). She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, as well as an extended family, all of whom will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ignacio Acuña Jr. and Paula Ramirez. Rosita's legacy of love, laughter, and kinship will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her, serving as a reminder of the beautiful impact she made during her time with us.
