Ruben S Alvarez

Ruben S. Alvarez, age 63, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his wife, Josefina G. Alvarez; parents, Manuel C. Sr. and Ester Alvarez; sisters, Aurora Linan, and Irene Alvarez; brothers, Santos, Eugene Sr., Richard Sr., and Henry Alvarez. Ruben is survived by his son, Eugene (Debra) Alvarez; step-daughter, Patricia(Jimmy) Hernandez; step-son, Cecilio Cervantes, Jr.; grandchildren, Eugene Jr., Jeremiah Roy, Jonathan Ryan Alvarez, Daniel Jr., Amanda and Victoria Espinoza; sister, Lydia Martinez; brothers, Manuel C. Jr., (Maggie) Alvarez and Daniel Sr. (Isabel) Alvarez; four great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces. The family would like to thank Windsor Nursing & Rehab Facility for their love and support. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, August 26, 2016, from 5pm - 9 pm, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara at Port, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Rites of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park. Services under the direction of Bobby Treviño. Serving as Pall Bearers are his grandsons and nephews.
