Ruben Espinoza

Ruben Espinoza, a man of loving, funny, and wise character, hath taken his leave of this mortal coil on the twenty-fourth day of June in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty-three. Born unto this world in the fair town of Pawnee, Texas, on the twenty-fifth day of April in the year nineteen hundred and fifty-five. He was raised with his loving sisters and brothers in the humblest of homes. Ruben's life was a testament to the beauty and joy that can be found in the simplest of pleasures.

In his youth, Ruben found great solace in the melodies and rhythms of Tejano music, a genre that would remain close to his heart for the entirety of his life. Many a day was spent, with the sun kissing his cheeks, as he strolled to the park with the tunes of his favorite artists filling his ears. It was in these moments that Ruben found a peace that would carry him through both the joyous and tumultuous times that lay ahead.

In matters of the heart, Ruben was truly blessed. He had the great fortune to share his life with the lovely Sophia Espinoza, a woman whose beauty was matched only by her kindness and grace. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, until her untimely passing did rend them apart.

But from their union came forth a bounty of sons: Ruben Jr., Michael P., Lucio, and Robert. It was in the laughter of his children that Ruben found his greatest joy and his deepest purpose. As a father, he imparted upon them the wisdom he had gleaned from his own experiences, and nurtured within them the seeds of love, humor, and understanding.

With the passing of time, Ruben's family did grow and flourish, with eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who did call him "grandpa and even viejito" with great affection. The bond between Ruben and his progeny was strong, for he was a man who saw the joy and wonder in the eyes of youth, and sought to keep it alive within himself. He was ever a prankster, delighting in harmless jests and tricks that would bring laughter to the lips of those around him, and a twinkle to his own eyes.

Ruben Espinoza was a man who understood that life was a journey, and that on this journey, it was not the destination but the moments along the way that truly mattered. He found beauty in the world around him, and in the hearts of those who shared his life. He was a man who loved deeply, laughed often, and lived well regardless of all his obstacles.

As we gather to remember the life of Ruben Espinoza, let us not dwell on the sorrow of his passing, but rather on the joy that he brought into the lives of those who knew him. Let us honor him by emulating his love of life and his commitment to family. Let us strive to be as loving, as funny, and as wise as he was, that we too might leave behind a legacy of laughter and love.

And so, with hearts both heavy and full of gratitude, we bid farewell to Ruben Espinoza, a man who walked this earth with grace and humor, and who now doth join his beloved Sophia in the great beyond. His memory shall live on in the hearts and minds of those who loved him, and the sound of his laughter shall echo through the halls of eternity. Farewell, dear Ruben, and may your soul find rest in the arms of the angels.
