Ruben S. Pena, Jr.

Ruben S. Peña, Jr., a loving and selfless man whose kindness touched all who knew him, passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 60 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on September 15, 1964, in Taft, Texas, Ruben lived a life marked by devotion to his family, a passion for music, and an unwavering love for football.

Ruben was the cherished son of Ruben Peña, Sr. and Adela Peña. He grew up surrounded by the warmth and camaraderie of his siblings, creating a bond that would last a lifetime. Although preceded in death by his sister Janie, Ruben's memory will be forever held in the hearts of his parents and siblings, Oralia, Irene, David, and Alex.

Ruben's commitment to family was the cornerstone of his life. He was a guiding light to his beloved daughter, Priscilla Soliz, and her husband, Robert. His wisdom, laughter, and love of life were gifts he generously shared with his grandsons, Roman, Jayden, and Anthony. They, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members, will carry forward his legacy of love and kindness.

Those who knew Ruben admired his ability to find joy in the simple pleasures of life. His love for music was evident, as he could often be found sharing his favorite tunes with friends and family, creating a soundtrack for the cherished moments they spent together. Ruben was also a huge sports lover with an unwavering passion for the Dallas Cowboys. The joy of game days was only surpassed by the time he spent with his family.

Ruben's character was defined by his selflessness. He approached life with an open heart, always ready to help others and give without expecting anything in return. His presence was a source of comfort and stability for those around him, and his actions were a testament to the power of a kind word and a helping hand.

As we bid farewell to Ruben S. Peña, Jr., we celebrate the extraordinary life he lived and the countless ways he enriched our lives. He will be remembered not only for the joy he brought into the world but also for the quiet strength with which he faced life's challenges.
