Samuel "Sammy" Medrano, age 43, passed away on March 10, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born on September 7, 1980, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Sammy was a radiant beacon of kindness and enthusiasm throughout his life. Sammy was the beloved husband of Phoungeune Lisa Medrano; with whom he shared a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was the cherished son of Raul Sr. and Herlinda Medrano, a brother who set an example of strength and compassion for Raul Medrano Jr., and the brother who shared an unbreakable bond with his sisters, Rosalinda “Rosie” Ordonez (Eric) and Yvette M. Quijas (Dominique). Sammy also leaves his nieces and nephews behind to cherish his memory; Raul III Medrano, Richard Medrano, Benny Lozano Jr, Laura Lozano, John David Lozano, Joseph Quijas, and Constance Quijas. Sammy's passion for life was evident in his love for fishing and music. He could often be found by the water's edge, rod in hand, waiting for the next big catch. A loyal Cowboys fan, Sammy's spirited energy was contagious, especially on game days when his enthusiasm could light up the room. Those who knew Sammy will remember him as the epitome of friendliness. His selfless nature was apparent to all, as he frequently placed the needs of others before his own. Samuel’s family will receive condolences on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave, from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 4:00 PM. Services will conclude in the chapel that day.
