Santiago "Jim" Ayala, passed away on February 20, 2016, in Corpus Christi, TX, he was 73. He was born on September 30, 1942 in Lubbock, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Estela P. Ayala; son, Jimmy (Karla) Ayala; daughters, Sandra Galvan, Christie (Val) Bazaldua; sisters, Patricia (Joe) Vargas, Mary Garcia, Naomi (Jesse) Garcia, Juanita Nava, Eva Montelongo; brothers, Silvester (Eva) Garcia, Joel (Mary) Garcia, Johnny Garcia, Robert (Laverne) Garcia, Sam (Cynthia) Garcia, Greg (Linda) Garcia, Margarito Ayala; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces; and father-in-law, Alejandro Perez. He will be dearly missed. The family is receiving visitors at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara at Port, on Thursday, February 25, from 3 pm to 9 pm, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 26, at Christ the King at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Jim to the American Diabetes Association.
