Santiago Vasquez, Sr.

Santiago Vasquez, Sr., age 87 and born on April 24, 1932 in Ben Bolt, TX to Seferino and Isabel Esquivel Vasquez, passed away on July 2, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was loved by everyone who knew him and will be dearly missed.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; siblings, Elida Saenz, Benita Soliz, Margarita Alonzo, Gregorio Vasquez, Antonio Vasquez; and son-in-law, Felix Pena.

Among those left to cherish Santiago’s memory are his loving wife, Ciria V. Vasquez; daughters, Lidia Rodriguez (Jose A.), Sylvia Pena, and Betty Isabel Lamb (Noe); son, Santiago Vasquez, Jr. (Gloria); 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive condolences on Friday, July 5, 2019, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home 120 E. Front St. Alice, TX; with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 PM. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Treviño Funeral Home officiated by Santiago Manuel Vasquez. Rite of committal and interment will follow at Alice Cemetery.
