Santos Mireles, Jr.

Santos Mireles, Jr., age 70, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015. Santos was a loving father and grandfather. He worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad, and retired from Union Pacific Railroad after years of dedicated service. He loved fishing, hunting, traveling, dancing, and riding his motorcycle. He will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his father, Santos Mireles Sr.; mother, Rita de la Garza; sister, Lucy Angel; and brother, Manuel Mireles. He leaves behind his loving children, Sheryl Renee (Rosendo, Jr.) Silva, Suzanne Rachel (Luis) Abrego; mother of his children, Sylvia H. Mireles; grandchildren, Jade Silva Romero, Trey Silva, Tyler Silva; sister, Roseanne (Baltizar) Gamez; brothers, Pete (Linda) Mireles, Jesse Mireles; and numerous nephews and nieces. We would like to thank all those who assisted with the care of our father. With special thanks to the staff and volunteers at Hospice Austin's Christopher House and Seton Family of Hospitals. We will be forever grateful for your care and compassion which had no boundaries. A funeral chapel service will be held at Treviño Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 24, 2014 at 10 am; burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
