Sfc William Richard Mcguire, Jr.
SFC William Richard McGuire, Jr. passed away on September 16, 2018 at the age of 49. He was born on August 29, 1969 in Alice, Texas to William Richard McGuire, Sr. and Janice Murphy McGuire. He was a loving husband, father, son, and grandfather. William Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired after 21 years of service. He will be dearly missed by all whom loved him.
He is preceded in death by his grandsons, Jordan Spero and Jamarion Wagner; maternal grandparents, John and Frankie Murphy and his paternal grandparents, Rodrick and Anna McGuire; aunt, Sandra Murphy.
William is survived by his wife of 13 years, Tanya McGuire; children, Griffin James McGuire, Emily McGuire, Keagan McGuire, Jana McGuire, William R. McGuire, III, Carson McGuire, Jaydeh McGuire, Hallie Funseth and Alex Spero; parents, William Richard Sr. and Janice McGuire; sister, Janice McDowell; grandchildren, Aubree Funseth, Troy Funseth, Marcus Spero, and Leo Spero.
Inurnment with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
