Sierra Kassandra Pena

Sierra Kassandra Pena passed away on June 17, 2022, at the age of 27. She was a loving daughter, mother, granddaughter, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Christian Garza; grandmother, Paula Lopez; grandfather, Arnold Israel Barrera; great-grandparents, Anita and Patricio Garcia; paternal uncle, Jose Angel Lopez, Jr.; cousins, Melinda Marie Barrera and Gerald Dylan Palmer; and niece, Layla Garza.

Sierra was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on November 16, 1994. She had an infectiousness smile and a beautiful laugh that would make anyone smile.  Sierra enjoyed cooking with her boys as well as arts and crafts. She enjoyed family gatherings, the beach, make-up and hair, music, and drinking coffee on the front porch with her grandmother. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her sons who she loved so much.  She will be truly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Left behind to cherish Sierra’s memories are her mother, Debra Barrera Garza; father, Joe Pena, Jr.; two sons, Samuel Vargas Lerma III “Tre” and Gage Danzig Lerma “Lil Baby”; niece, Azalynd Raine Pena; brothers, Daniel Rene Pena, Joseph Patrick Pena, and Rob Thomas Garza; grandmother, Ann Marie Barrera; grandfather, Jose L. Pena (Lydia); aunts, Rose Marie Ramirez (Ramiro), Belinda Rodriguez (Roel Jr.), Cynthia Palmer (Gerald), Beatrice Garcia (Luis), and Laura Colunga (Louie); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, June 27, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @Port Ave; with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 PM. A Chapel Service will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
