Sylvia Garza Ramirez

Sylvia Garza Ramirez passed away on April 5, 2017 at the age of 78. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Manuel and Celia Garza; sons, Charles Andrew Garza and Sammy Ramirez; brother, Eddie Garza; and sister, Vengie Strong.

Sylvia is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Delfino) Robledo, Jessica Ramirez, Areceli “Sally” Ramirez, and Paige (Jason) Whitmire; son, Johnny (Skila) Ramirez; brother, Juan Manuel (Kathy) Garza; brother-in-law, Grover “Lefty” Strong; sister-in-law, Amanda Garza; 14 grandchildren, Ashrya, Jerry, Paul D., Eric, Jewel, Gilbert, Jonathan, Meagan, Cody, Marcus, Valerie, Kaipo, Keionii, and Laszlo; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives.

The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 4pm – 9pm at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port, with a holy rosary to be recited at 7pm. Rites of Christian burial will be at 10am on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Corpus Christi Cathedral with interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
