Sylvia S. Ramirez, a beacon of love and joy, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on February 17, 1949, to the late Guadalupe and Herlinda Salazar, Sylvia grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. She was a cherished sister to Virginia Buentello, Delia Lozano, Aurora Cavazos, Guadalupe Salazar Jr., and Juan Salazar, all of whom preceded her in death, as well as her beloved daughter, Michelle Beale. Sylvia's legacy continues through her devoted husband of 57 years, Ernest Ramirez; her loving daughter, Cynthia and son-in-law Ron McAllister; her son-in-law, Troy Beale; and her adored grandchildren, Christian and Marysa McAllister. Her vibrant spirit will also live on in the hearts of her numerous brothers, sisters, in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews, who will miss her dearly. Dedicated and hardworking, Sylvia spent many fulfilling years at CP &L, where she was not just an employee but a cherished friend. She was known for her punctuality, often arriving early to share a cup of coffee and the latest gossip with her colleagues. Friday nights were a special time for Sylvia and her co-workers, as they would unwind after a busy week by enjoying drinks together, a tradition that was much more than a social gathering—it was a testament to the close-knit community they had built. Sylvia's zest for life was evident in her many passions. A fervent fan of the Washington Redskins, she never missed a game and her enthusiasm for football was infectious. Gambling and playing cards were not just hobbies for Sylvia; they were activities that brought her immense joy and excitement. Her business trips to New Orleans were not only professional milestones but also cherished adventures that she looked forward to with great anticipation. Those who knew Sylvia would attest to her love for sweets—an indulgence that was only matched by her love for cooking. Preparing meals for her grandchildren was one of her greatest pleasures. Christian and Marysa were the light of her life, and she poured her love into every dish she made for them. Sylvia took great pride in their education and achievements, often sharing their successes with anyone who would listen. Sylvia's impeccable sense of style was a reflection of her vibrant personality. She never left her home without her hair styled and makeup perfectly applied, presenting herself to the world with grace and elegance. As we bid farewell to Sylvia Ramirez, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to family. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, and her spirit will forever be a cornerstone of the many lives she touched. Sylvia's journey through life was a testament to the power of joy, friendship, and family bonds. Her absence will be deeply felt, but the beauty of her presence will remain a comforting and enduring presence in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Serving as pallbearers are Frank Gallegos, Jacob Gallegos, Troy Beale, Christian McAllister, Keith Tom Perez, and Ron McAllister.
