Sylvia Watrin

Sylvia Ybarra Watrin passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017. Sylvia was born June 23, 1959 to Jesus and Petra Ybarra of Corpus Christi, Texas. She attended Skinner Elementary and Molina Junior High in Corpus Christi. She married Angel Watrin a person who knew he was meant for her. Before his passing, they both enjoyed going to the flea markets on the weekend and spending time together. Sylvia worked as a cafeteria worker for West Oso ISD and Calallen ISD. Family and friends enjoyed her cooking, her funny smiles and her adventures with every day struggles and joys. Her goal was to see as many friends and family before she left to see her family in heaven. Count it all joy because she has left us with memories to make us all laugh. Sylvia is preceded in death by her husband Angel Watrin, granddaughter Donna Watrin, brother Domingo Ybarra, nephew Jonathan Ybarra, and her parents, Jesus and Petra Ybarra. She is survived by her children Angel Watrin Jr., Cindy Watrin, Lisa Watrin, Maria Isabel Watrin, and Theodore Watrin and various grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Sylvia grew up with six brothers, Jesse, Estanislao, Cristobal, Domingo, Julian, and Cruz and two sisters, San Juana and Mary, all from Corpus Christi. The family will receive condolences on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. at Port from 5:00 – 9:00 pm; where a Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. A chapel service will take place on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Treviño Funeral Home at 11:30 am; with Rite of Committal and Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park at 1:00 pm.
