Tanya Jean Cantu-Gonzalez

Tanya Jean Cantu-Gonzalez was called home by our Lord on November 19, 2020 at the age of 46, after falling ill with the Covid-19 virus. She was a graduate of King High School and a life-long resident of Corpus Christi. Tanya was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Juan G. Morales; brother, Andrew Cantu; aunt, Angelica (Angie) Martinez; uncle, Ernest Morales; and cousin, John Gabriel Fernandez, and an infant cousin.

Tanya leaves her memories to be cherished by her husband, Jesus Gonzalez, Jr; biological children, Anton Garza and Adorjana Garza; children, Allen, Emily, and Jesus “Jesse” Gonzalez; three grandchildren; parents, Juan and Beatrice Flores; biological father, Alfred Cantu; maternal grandmother, Juanita G. Morales; and blessed with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that will truly miss her.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm; with a chapel service at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery at 2:00 pm.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic..
