Tomas O. Gutierrez

Tomas O. Gutierrez Jr., age 47, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013. He graduated class of '86 from West Oso High School, then enlisted and served a 4 year term in the US Navy. He worked for Gutierrez Flores. Tomas loved to Bar-B-Que, spend time with his family, watch the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs; he was the life of the party and will be dearly missed. Tomas is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Braulio and Cruz Ortiz; paternal grandparents, Jesus and Dometilia Gutierrez. He leaves behind his children, Justin Gutierrez, Desiree Gutierrez, Victoria Lynn Gutierrez, Elizabeth Gutierrez; mother of his youngest children, Stacy Gutierrez; parents, Tomas and Victoria Gutierrez; only sister, Norma (John) Garcia; nephews, Jesse (Veronica) Curiel, Joseph Matthew Gutierrez, Jonathan David (Megan) Gutierrez, great nephews, Jesse Curiel Jr., Jeremiah Curiel, Jerreck Curiel, Jonathan Daniel Gutierrez, Jayden Gutierrez; great niece, Jazlin Gutierrez; numerous aunts uncles, cousins; and his companion, Belinda Hernandez. The family will be receiving friends at Trevino Funeral Home 3006 Niagara at Port on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm. Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church on Monday April 22, 2013 at 9:30 am; interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
