Tomasita A Caballero

Tomasita A. Caballero went to her heavenly home on October 27, 2021 at the age of 91. She resided at 217 Osage for 72 years. Tomasita was born March 9, 1930 to Ezequiel and Antonia Caballero in Runge, TX.

She was a faithful member of Primera Iglesia Bautista for over 50 years. She sang in the choir for many years and in her younger years, she was involved in various church activities. She also worked for Corpus Christi ISD Food Services for over 30 years until her retirement. One of her many hobbies was working on her yard; she loved to cook for all her family and enjoyed taking walks. Tomasita had a loving servant’s heart and was loved by everyone. We will miss her smile and her sweet spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezequiel and Antonia Caballero; sisters, Faustina Tovar and Esther Villarreal; and brother, Ezequiel Caballero Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Aracelli (Johnny) Rodriguez and grandson, Johnny Jr Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, TX; sister, Hilda (Richard) Muguerza of Round Rock, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear family and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 PM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 10:30 AM for a Funeral Service to be celebrated at 11:00 AM at Primera Iglesia Bautista, 1509 Tarlton St. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
