Trinidad Quiroga

Best known as brother and friend, Trinidad Quiroga Jr. (Trino) was called to rest on October 6, 2021.  He was the youngest and only son of Olivia Fernandez Quiroga and Trinidad Quiroga, who preceded him in death. He was cherished and, if you ask his sisters, spoiled rotten as a child.

He was skilled and talented in any craft he chose to practice.  He took great pride in his work as a carpenter, roofer, painter, lawn man and ultimately BBQ pit boss at his beloved Howard’s BBQ in Corpus Christi.

Trino made fast friends and always was ready to lend a hand.  Many friends returned the favor, helping him along his journey.  He had an infectious smile and laugh, which he easily shared with friends and strangers alike.

As an uncle, he taught his four nieces (Elizabeth & Olivia Rincones, Emma & Sophia Sanchez) and nephew (Julian R. Rincones) all the naughty words, songs and jokes. As a brother, he taught his sisters (Virginia Sanchez & Maria Rincones) and brothers-in-law (Hector Sanchez & Julian Rincones), how to demonstrate love, generosity and grace no matter the situation. As a father, well, that was his biggest regret – not knowing his children (Jessica, Alec & Andrew) and grandchild (Olive). He loved us all. And we loved him.

We are comforted that he found God’s mercy and grace and now rejoices in His Glory.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. at Port; with a memorial Prayer Service to be recited that evening at 6:00 PM. Services will conclude that evening in the chapel.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practices while attending funeral services in this facility.
