Velma Sonia Canales

Velma Sonia Canales passed away on April 1, 2019 at the age of 52. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all whom knew her and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Adalberto Mendez.

Among those left to cherish Velma’s memory are her mother, Alma Lydia Mendez; her children, Debra Canales, Joel (Maribel) Canales, and Myra Canales; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Albert Mendez and Analisa (Alex) Martinez; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, April 04, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a Holy Rosary and Funeral Liturgy to begin at 11:30 AM. A Rite of Committal and Interment will follow to Rose Hill Memorial Park.
