Veronica Colunga

Veronica Colunga passed away on September 3rd, 2023, at the age of 50 in Corpus Christi, TX where she lived surrounded by her loving family. She fought a hard battle, but God called her home. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, and grandmother. Her family was everything to her and she had many friends and a family that she loved dearly.

She was proceeded in death by her father, Luis F. Colunga Sr.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Ambarina, David (Yasmine), Anessa, and Zachary; granddaughters, Natalie and Nylia; mother, Ambarina Colunga; her siblings, Beatriz (Errol), Debbie (Edwin), Belinda, Luis, and Oscar (Kim); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Veronica was a very kind, loving, and generous person that never met a stranger. If you met her, she would always leave an impression of herself on you that you would never forget. Her smile lit up the room like staring at the sun with no glasses on.

Veronica’s family will receive condolences on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave., from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM; with a Eulogy to begin at 1:00 PM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 2:00 PM for a Rite of Committal and Interment at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
