Vickie Lynn Little, a beacon of faith and joy, entered into the streets of gold as her Lord called her into Eternal life in paradise, on February 23, 2025, in Orange Grove, Texas, while surrounded by her loving family.
Vickie was born on January 30, 1957, in Harlingen, Texas, to parents, William Edward and Billie Jo Little. Vickie's spirited nature and zest for life touched everyone she met. Vickie grew up in Schertz, Texas, and her biggest accomplishment was graduating from the Special Education Department of Samuel Clemens High School's class of 1976; Vickie was proud to be a Buffalo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Edward and Billie Jo Little; her siblings, Duane Little and Billie Delores "Dorie" Rosson; and her best friend of over 25 years, Margret Waugh. Her legacy continues through her devoted brother-in-law, David Rosson, and her adoring nieces and nephews, Jennifer Blanchard, Kimberly (David) Rich, Crystal (Trevor) Barr, and Timothy (Nicole) Rosson. Vickie's love was boundless, extending to her great-nieces and nephews—Matthew Payton, Faith Blanchard, Douglas Thomas, Tanner Budell, Trenton Budell, Hunter Rosson, Ava Budell, Tylor (Hannah) Barr, Caylynn Barr, Caleb Barr, Brianna Bogaards, Trinity Rosson, Seth Rosson, and great-great nephew, Douglas Wayne Thomas. Her heart was large enough to encompass her beloved furry companions, Peppi and Benji, who were spoiled with affection and care. Known for her child-like faith, Vickie often inspired and encouraged those around her to believe, to be good, and have faith. Aunt Vickie was spunky, persistent, and always ended up getting her way. She was an active member at Pebble with Ripples Senior Center in Orange Grove, Texas. She was often seen stopping traffic to cruise the streets of Orange Grove, from Dollar General, the Taqueria, and Stripes on her “Cadillac”, a testament to her adventurous spirit. Playing Bingo was her favorite pastime, along with watching TV and scary movies as well.
Vickie's interests were as unique and lively as she was. A collector of caps, she delighted in receiving new additions from the travels of friends and family, each cap representing a story and a connection. Her playful nature was evident in her love of knowing everyone's secrets, even though she could never quite keep them to herself.
Vickie made sure everyone was aware that she was a “Pepsi Nut”, her love for Pepsi was unwavering, always ensuring her glass was filled to the brim with ice and Pepsi—nothing less was expected.
Vickie Lynn Little will be remembered as a woman who lived her life with a faith-filled heart and an adventurous soul. Her spirit was a bright light in the lives of those she touched, and her memory will continue to inspire and uplift those she has left behind. Her absence will be deeply felt, but the joy and love she spread will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
We will celebrate her life on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at The Grove Baptist Church in Orange Grove, Texas.
