Victoria Castro passed away peacefully on October 31, 2021; she was 91 years old. Victoria was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Castro; daughter, Mary Garcia; and sons, Frank Castro, Manuel Castro, Jr., and Joe Castro.
She is survived by her five daughters, Rosa Sizemore, Isabel Martinez, Victoria Garcia, Aurora Valdez, and Lupe Castro; three sons, Jesse Castro, Victor Castro, and Robert Castro; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Honoring Mrs. Castro's as Pallbearers are Victor Castro, Robert Castro, Jesse Castro, Juan Rodriguez, Jacob Rodriguez, and Eddie Amada.
Victoria’s greatest love was her family. She raised 12 kids and sacrificed everything to try and provide the best for all her children. Victoria was also very fortunate and blessed to see her children make her a grandmother. She helped raise many of her grandchildren as her own. She enjoyed the simple things; such as, being outdoors surrounded by her family.
While our family grieves her loss, we are also at peace knowing she is undoubtedly in a better place and was, and will continue to be, unconditionally loved by her family. We could not have asked for a better mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. We will always cherish the special memories we all had with her.
The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
