Vilma Gloria Salinas

Vilma Gloria Salinas, 79, of Alice, Texas was born on June 19, 1943 to her parents, Jesus Garcia and Elisa Vela. She passed away on April 21, 2023. Vilma will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Vilma loved cooking for her family and would always have food made for everyone to eat.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnoldo Salinas; parents, Jesus Garcia, and Elisa Vela; two brothers, Jesus (Chucho) Garcia and Baldemar Garcia; and sister, Elva Gonzalez.

Left behind to cherish Vilma’s memories are her daughter, Celena (Brock) Salinas- Boudreau; son, Arnold Eric (Suzette) Salinas; a brother, Rene Garcia, two sisters, Odilia Cardenas and Nora Gonzalez; five grandchildren, Karina Marie (Roy) Salinas, Jacob (Jessica) Salinas, James (Maryah) Salinas, Ava Boudreau, and Bau Boudreau; great-grandchildren, Sebastian Eric Salinas, Ridan James Salinas, Kaelani Raelyn Salinas, and Aria Evalyn Salinas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Vilma’s family will receive condolences on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Treviño Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St. Alice, Texas, from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 8:45 AM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Old Collins Cemetery.
