Walter Joe Martin III, a cherished son, father, brother, and grandson, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2024, in his hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on August 29, 1991, Walter's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit of generosity. Growing up in Corpus Christi, Walter was a beacon of joy within his community. He attended local schools where he formed lifelong friendships and established a legacy of kindness that would follow him throughout his life. Known for his bright smile and infectious energy, he was someone who could light up a room and uplift the spirits of those around him. Walter's life was preceded in death by his beloved family members, Francis Mallett, Richard Mallett, Alicia and Rito Segura, Florencio Segura Jr., and Brandon Alviar. His memory will be forever honored and kept alive by his children, Walter Joe Martin IV, Baby Jay, Trinity, Serenity, Destiny, Rosalie, and Kailani; his mother, Alma Segura; his siblings, Julia, Marcus, Mike, and Matthew; his grandparents, Rosalina Mallett and Florencio Segura; and numerous tios, tias, and cousins. In his professional life, Walter was admired for his work ethic and his commitment to excellence. He approached every challenge with determination and a positive attitude, inspiring his colleagues and earning the respect of all who had the pleasure of working alongside him. Walter's passion for life was evident in his many interests and hobbies. Whether he was fishing, playing a friendly game of basketball, or simply enjoying a barbecue with loved ones, he embraced each moment with enthusiasm and grace. As we say goodbye to Walter Joe Martin III, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and joy. His memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories shared by those who loved him and the profound impact he had on the lives he touched. Walter’s family will receive condolences on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave.; with a Holy Rosary and Liturgy of the Word to begin at 7:00 PM. Services will conclude in the chapel that evening.
