Ysidoro P. Deleon

Ysidoro P. DeLeon "Chore" was called upon by our heavenly father on November 25, 2015; he was 86. He was a lifelong resident of Mathis, TX. Ysidoro was a veteran who served in the US Airforce. He was better known as the "Watermelon Man", he took pride in selling his fruits and vegetables in the surrounding areas. Ysidoro is preceded in death by his parents Prudencia and Leondro DeLeon; siblings: Romana Guzman, Petra Diaz, Mingo DeLeon, and Trindidad Garcia. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janie DeLeon; his children: Sara DeLeon (Javier), Angelica Maldonado-DeLeon (Misty), James DeLeon, Hubert DeLeon (Amberly); 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; he is also survived by daughters, Esmeralda Navarro, Sandra DeLeon, Angie DeLeon, Alice DeLeon, Patricia Navarre, Connie DeLeon-Sanchez; son, Javier DeLeon all from the Houston-Baytown area. The surviving siblings include Julian DeLeon, Cruz DeLeon, Santos DeLeon, and Lucia Mercado. The family will be receiving friends at Treviño Funeral Home 3006 Niagara at Port, Corpus Christi, TX, on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 10 am to 12:30 pm; with a 12:30 pm chapel service. Burial will follow at 2 pm at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
