Carlos Trevino, Jr. Obituary

Carlos Trevino, Jr. was born on September 11,1945 to Carlos Trevino, Sr. and Isabel Pena-Trevino, in Alice TX.  He graduated from Alice High School and later joined the US Air Force and trained at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  His highest rank was Staff Sergeant. In his previous marriages, he was blessed with five children.  When he married Rosalinda Saenz-Trevino, he was blessed with 6 more stepchildren.

He enjoyed hunting and being outside; but in reality, he was a hard worker all the way to the end. He was a Master Plumber and was also a man of all trades.  He owned his own business for over 25 years and was also a City Administrator for two cities in the state of Kansas. Carlos then moved to Zapata, TX to become the Zapata County Waterworks Director retiring at the end of December of 2019.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos Trevino, Sr. and Isabel Pena-Trevino.

Carlos is survived by his wife, Rosalinda Saenz-Trevino; children, Carlos Trevino III, Ruben (Sandra) Trevino, Adrian Trevino, Kendra Trevino, and Donovan Trevino; stepchildren, Marina (Michael) Herrera, Edward (Esperanza) Ramirez, Mario (Monica) Sosa, Melissa (Reymundo) Gonzalez, Joshua Sosa, and Jonathan Sosa; siblings, Oscar Trevino and Rogelio Trevino; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave, from 5:00 PM- 9:00 PM; with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 PM that evening. Interment and Rite of Committal with military honors will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, he asked that donations be made to the Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida - Music Ministry, 2002 Jackson St, Zapata, TX 78076.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be observed while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
