David Lee Elliott, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and devoted servant of God, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2023, in Corpus Christi, TX. Born on April 29, 1937, in Ledbetter, TX, David lived a full and rich life, leaving a lasting impact on his family and community.

David was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ethel Elliott, and his siblings Clara McDonald, Erma Jean Elliott, Cora Dyer, and Dwight King. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight and a half years, Gloria Elliott; his children, Bennie Byrne (Erik) of Corpus Christi, TX, Deborah Strait (Walter) of Corpus Christi, TX, Bobby Landrum (Megan) of Canton, Georgia, and David Ray Miller of California; his sisters, Johnnie Elliott of Bloomington, TX, and Faye Trimmer of Houston, TX; his brother, Gilbert King of Victoria, TX; his sixteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; and his godchildren, Tiffany Pam, Bobby Mace, Peebles Jones, and Tiffany Crawford. David also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish his memory.

From an early age, David displayed an unwavering dedication to his faith and community. He served as a Deacon at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church for forty-five years, impacting the lives of countless parishioners with his wisdom and devotion, as well as in his latter days when he became a member of Family Life Church under the leadership of Pastor Steve Mendiola. David's commitment to his church was matched only by his dedication to his family, who he supported and loved unconditionally.

David was an employee of West Oso Independent School District, where he was known for his tireless work ethic and commitment to excellence. His colleagues and students alike admired his dedication to his job, and his work was instrumental in maintaining a safe and clean learning environment for generations of students.

In addition to his career with the school district, David was a proud entrepreneur. He founded David Elliott Janitorial Services, a successful business that provided quality cleaning services to clients throughout the Corpus Christi area. David's work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit were an inspiration to his family and friends, and his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched both personally and professionally.

David's love for his family was evident in everything he did. He was a devoted husband to Gloria, his wife of over fifty-eight years, and a loving father to his children, Bennie, Deborah, Bobby, and David Ray. He took great pride in his role as a grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, and his love for his family extended beyond bloodlines to include his cherished godchildren, Tiffany, Bobby, Peebles, and Tiffany.

Throughout his life, David forged strong bonds within his community, earning the respect and admiration of all who knew him. His warm and generous spirit touched the lives of many, and his unwavering faith in God served as a guiding light for his family and friends.

David Lee Elliott will be remembered as a loving family man, a dedicated servant of God, and a pillar of his community. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and his legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire future generations.
