David Hernandez Campos

David Hernandez Campos Sr. gained his wings on December 22, 2023, at the age of 69. He was born on January 5, 1954, in Corpus Christi, TX. He was greeted by his dad and his son as he entered the stairway to heaven.

He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Campos, his dad, Jesus Campos, and numerous other family members and friends.

He leaves his children, David Campos Jr., Debra Campos (Carlos), Donavan Campos, and his ex-wife of 32 years, Patricia Campos, to cherish his memories. He also leaves his mother, Elisa Hernandez Campos; his sisters, Connie Guerra, Denise Campos, Francis Campos, Mary Helen Campos, and Carmen Campos; his brothers, Jesse Campos Jr. (Emma), Johnny Campos, Peter Campos, and Eduardo Campos;18 grandchildren who loved him dearly and about 33 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

David was a jack of all trades. He learned to do automotive paint and body work from his dad and that was the work he did after he retired from welding.

David’s family will receive condolences on Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave; with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 PM that evening. Services will conclude in the chapel that evening.
