DeAndre Mathis Obituary

DeAndre “Milo” Mathis passed away on March 14, 2018 at the young age of 19. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, and uncle. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jesse and Clarene Mathis.

DeAndre is survived by his parents, Dorothy Acevedo and Vince Watkins; father, Jesse Mathis; brother, DaVaughn Mathis; sisters, Desiray Lee Mathis and Tianna Lee Mathis; partner, David Garza; maternal grandparents, Odilia Acevedo and Jose Luis Ruiz; nephew, Darren Christopher Holt; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and extended family.

The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. at Port from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral cortege will depart the funeral chapel on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. to Sacred Heart Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
