Edward Nance Newman passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at the age of 92. He was born in Paris TX in 1930 and was the son of Lilly and Darius Newman and had 2 brothers, Richard his older and Wilbur the younger brother.
Proceeding Ed in passing were his dear wife Dolores and son Eddie Junior.
Ed lived almost everywhere in TX during his life and had recently been living in Corpus Christi with his grandson Eric and his spouse Tina who were his caregivers and loved him dearly. Ed was also surrounded and loved by his daughter-in-law Yvonne and grandson Branden. Ed's daughter Karen, his grandkids Cody and Julia, and his great-grandsons Jackson Edward and Brooks live in Florida and loved him and cherish the memories and special times they spent with their dad and Grandad. Ed also had family he loved in Paris TX, Ed's sister-in-law Maryjo and her children Mitch and Sharon.
Ed was a great provider and generous to us all. Ed was a proud Texas A&M graduate of 1957, and a shining example of what an Authentic Man should be. He was encouraging, gave unconditional love to everyone he met, and never spoke a bad word about anyone, even those who did him wrong. He was a faithful member of United Oaks Methodist Church in Paris TX in the 90's and loved serving others. He was strong of heart because his ability to forgive people built his character. He never pretended to be perfect, so his humility of self-esteem endeared him to everyone he knew. If we can strive to be half the person Ed was, it would be a blessing to mankind and bring honor and glory to God and Ed's Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
