Esperanza Trevino Rojas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away April 2, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Santa Rosa, Texas on October 30, 1931. Esperanza was married to the late Antonio C. Rojas, known as “El Coyote”, for 55 years and together they raised five children which were Esperanza’s joy in life. She will always be remembered as a dedicated mother who provided unending love and support for her family. The love Esperanza bestowed upon her husband and her children was beautiful. She enjoyed nothing more than being with her family; and especially her family in Santa Rosa, Texas, her sisters Ofelia Ortiz and Marie Mathis from Dallas and Garland, Texas, and her beloved nephews and nieces.
Esperanza was blessed with five children and is survived by all of them, Lucilla (George) Hernandez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Rene (Nelta) Rojas of Houston, Texas, Alfred (Alicia) Rojas of Houston, Texas, Antonio (Caludia) Rojas, Jr. of Austin, Texas, and Raul Rojas (Juanita Garcia) of Corpus Christi; six grandchildren, Sarah Hope Hernandez, Roxanne (Tony) Cao, Jennifer Rojas, Raul Matthew Rojas, Jr, Christopher Hernandez, and Johnathan Rojas; and three great-grandchildren, Gia Hope Cao, Cash Cao, and Cruz Cao.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday, April 3, 2020, at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St., Corpus Christi, Texas. Interment will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at 10:00 am at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
