Frank Cantu

Frank Cantu passed away on May 2, 2021 at the age of 48.  He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend.  Frank loved music, fishing, watching football (Go Steelers!), and going to the lake.  He also loved his family and his Babas Brotherhood. Frank had recently become involved with the Church and made his First Holy Communion and Confirmation at the Corpus Christi Cathedral.  He will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Maldonado.

 Frank is survived by his children, Frank (Secily) Cantu, Michael (Angel) Cantu, Mark Cantu, Nathaniel Cantu, Issac Cantu, Thomas Cantu, Moises Cantu, and Adrian Cantu; daughter, Cassandra (Samantha) Cantu; grandchildren, Liliana, Layah, Jayce, Joshua, and Evelynn; partner, Michelle Gabaldon; mother, Josie Martinez; brothers, Leonel R. Martinez, Andrew Martinez, Frank Maldonado Jr., and Abel Maldonado; sisters, Lorraine Martinez, Rosario Maldonado, Irene Maldonado, and Lori Ann Maldonado; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. 

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port, from 5 PM to 9 PM; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 PM.  A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, to Christ the King Catholic Church for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian burial.  Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

 Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
