Juan Flores passed away on May 21, 2022, at the age of 72. He proudly served in the US Army and served one tour in the Vietnam War. He will be missed and never forgotten.
Juan was a mechanic and enjoyed cars, fishing, football, and watching Western movies. He also enjoyed his dogs and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymundo and Trinidad Flores; children, Andrew Cantu and Tanya J. Cantu-Gonzalez; brother, Jesse “Kamuka” Vega; sister, Janie Perez; father-in-law, Juan Morales; brother-in-law, Ernest Morales; and sister-in-law, Angelica Garza.
Left behind to cherish Juan’s memories are his wife, Beatrice M. Flores; children, John (Monica) Cantu and Jo Ann (Luis “Jerry” Gonzalez) Flores; siblings, Lee Havens, Domingo Vega, Lupe (Tony) Isola, Raymundo Flores, Henry (Cindy) Flores, Archie (Tina)Vega, and Cindy (Diego) Ramirez; mother-in-law, Juanita Morales; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Ann (Martin) Arriaga, Christina Fernandez, Linda Bazan, Delia (Ray) Trevino; brothers-in-law, Gilbert (Melissa) Morales and Mark Morales; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive condolences on Thursday, May 26, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Liturgy of the Word will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022, at 11:30 AM at Treviño Funeral Home. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 12:30 PM for Rite of Committal and Interment at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
