Mercedes de Sanchez

Mercedes de Sanchez passed away Monday, March 13, 2023, at the age of 91 in Taft Texas.  She was born in Poncitlan, Jalisco, Mexico on September 24, 1931 to her parents, Anastacio Campos and Micaela Flores.  She was an amazing woman of faith who dedicated her life to her family and her church.  She touched many lives and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Sanchez Ramos; her parents, Anastacio Campos and Micaela Flores; her siblings, Apolinar Flores, Guadalupe Flores de Aguilar, and Ramon Flores Gomez; and her youngest grandson, Pedro Sanchez Gonzalez.

Left to cherish Mercedes are her daughter, Maria Louisa Gonzalez and her husband Hipolito (Polo); grandson, Hipolito Sanchez Gonzalez, III and his partner Michelle Nesmith; granddaughters, Maria Marcela Gonzalez and Alejandra Sanchez Gonzalez; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Hayden, Gunner and Autumn; honorary granddaughter, Faith Villalobos; honorary great-grandchildren, Chloe, Aracely, and Andres; along with numerous extended family members and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Friday, March 24, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM followed by Liturgy of the Word at 7:30 PM. Services will conclude that evening.

Mercedes de Sanchez falleció el lunes 13 de marzo de 2023 a la edad de 91 años en Taft Texas. Nació en Poncitlán, Jalisco, México el 24 de septiembre de 1931 de sus padres, Anastacio Campos y Micaela Flores. Era una mujer de fe asombrosa que dedicó su vida a su familia y su iglesia. Tocó muchas vidas y la extrañaremos mucho.

Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo, Pedro Sánchez Ramos; sus padres, Anastacio Campos y Micaela Flores; sus hermanos Apolinar Flores, Guadalupe Flores de Aguilar y Ramón Flores Gómez; y su nieto menor, Pedro Sánchez González.

Quedan para apreciar a Mercedes su hija, María Luisa González y su esposo Hipólito (Polo); nieto, Hipólito Sánchez González, III y su pareja Michelle Nesmith; nietas, María Marcela González y Alejandra Sánchez González; bisnietos, Victoria, Hayden, Gunner y Autumn; nieta honoraria, Faith Villalobos; bisnietos honorarios, Chloe, Aracely y Andres; junto con numerosos miembros de la familia extendida y amigos.

La familia recibirá las condolencias el viernes 24 de marzo de 2023, de 5:00 p. m. a 9:00 p. m., en Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave con un Santo Rosario que se rezará a las 7:00 p. m. seguido de la Liturgia de la Palabra a las 7:30 PM. Los servicios concluirán esa noche.
