Michael Morgan III Obituary

Michael meant so much to all who knew him and will forever be in our hearts.  As a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, father, uncle, grandfather, friend, and husband, he was surrounded by love throughout most of his life.  We will miss his sharp wit, his sparkling blue eyes, his laugh, and his unique perspective on life.  He was strong, clever, hilarious, proud, free-spirited, and resourceful. May he rest in peace.

Mike was born in Camp Lejeune, NC to Michael Henry Morgan Jr. and Eleanor Virginia Pascu Morgan.  He was raised in Dearborn, MI along with his younger brother, James.  He graduated from Edsel Ford High School in 1964, then went on to basic training with the United States Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune.  After he completed his training, he returned to Michigan to attend Wayne State University in Detroit.  In 1966, Michael married his high school sweetheart, Lynn.  While together they had two children, Scott and Erin, and the four of them had countless fun adventures together, including road trips (near and far), picnics along Hines Drive, soccer games, cross country skiing, and canoeing.  It was also during this time that Mike started and successfully ran his own business for many years, supplying roofing materials to contractors and building companies.  After Mike and Lynn parted ways, he eventually found love again.  Several years later, he left Michigan behind and began a new chapter in Corpus Christi, Texas.  There he started another business as an independent contractor, specializing in custom concrete flooring.  Living in Corpus awakened his love for the ocean, and when he finally retired, he spent most of his days at the beach, sitting in reverie by the sea.

Michael is predeceased by his parents, Michael Henry Morgan Jr. and Eleanor Virginia Pascu Morgan.

Michael is survived by his brother, James (Paulette) Morgan; children Scott (Pamela) Morgan and Erin Morgan (Brad) Helpap; grandchildren Hannah, Reese, and Gustav; nephews Patrick (Carrie) Morgan and Daniel (Rachel) Morgan; 4 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew; dear cousins.

Tributes and messages can be sent through Treviño Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, TX.  Please consider making a donation in Mike’s honor to Harbor Hospice, Good Samaritan Rescue Mission (Corpus Christi), Mariners Inn Detroit, or your local Humane Society.
