Michelle Lee Gutierrez-Lash, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and wife, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Corpus Christi, Texas on November 3, 2023, at the age of 35. Michelle was born in Corpus Christi on October 29, 1988, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and courage.

Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Raul C. Gutierrez Jr., and her brother, Raul Gutierrez III. She is survived by her loving mother, Josephine Puentes, and caring stepfather, Mario Rodriguez. Michelle's legacy will be carried on by her siblings, Belinda Gutierrez (Aaron Echols), Emily Gutierrez (Andrew G.), Marcos Gutierrez (Janyssa), Monica Gutierrez (Rick), and Mario Rodriguez II. Her nieces and nephews, Noe Benavidez (Mina), Benjamin Benavidez (Brandy), Issac Benavidez, Adam Benavidez, Jozette Sanchez, Joey Sanchez, Emma Sanchez, Dillon Gutierrez, Aleena Gutierrez, Delilah Gutierrez, Aubrey Guttierez, Riley Guttierrez, Damian Guttierrez, Miracle Gomez, Marissa Gamez, Bobby Lee Cavazos, Hailey Cavazos, Melody Cavazos, Mario Rodriguez III, Isiah Rodriguez, Jessie Rodriguez, Ezekiel Rodriguez, and great-nephew, Raegan Benavidez, all brought her great joy and will remember their Aunt Michelle with love. She also leaves behind her favorite aunt, Rosa Olivarez, and a large extended family who loved her dearly.

Michelle graduated from Richard King High School and carried the values of education and hard work throughout her life. She devoted her life to caregiving, a testament to her golden heart and her willingness to help anyone in need. Her family and friends could always count on her for support and care, a trait that defined her life.

She was a woman of many interests. Michelle found joy in crafting and holiday decorating, creating beautiful memories for her family and friends through her creative talents. Anyone who knew Michelle knew about her love for pumpkin pie, a favorite treat that became synonymous with her presence at family gatherings.

Michelle was best described as loving, funny, and courageous. Her love for her family was boundless, her sense of humor was infectious, and her courage was inspirational. She faced life's challenges with a smile, teaching those around her the true meaning of resilience.

Michelle Lee Gutierrez-Lash truly lived a life filled with love and joy. She will always be remembered for her golden heart, her infectious laughter, and her courageous spirit. Her memory will be cherished by all those who had the privilege to know and love her. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of her loved ones.

Michelle’s family will receive condolences on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara at Port Ave; with Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM and a Liturgy of the Word to follow at 7:30 PM. Services will conclude that evening.
