Olga Cervera Reyes

Olga Cervera Reyes passed away April 23, 2017at the age of 89. Olga Cervera was born on May 27, 1927, the second youngest of five children to Matais Cervera, and Aracelia Gonzales Cervera in Robstown, Texas. She met Rodolfo Martinez Reyes in her teens and corresponded with “Rudy” throughout World War II while attending Del Mar College and working at the family print shop. They married on October 20, 1946.

Olga took part in multiple Catholic Organizations in various roles throughout her adult life. On August 8,1951 she bore twins; Rudy Jr., her son, and Aracelia (Shelley), her daughter. Olga and her family traveled throughout the North American continent, where she would strive to show her children the arts and culture of every place they visited. She enjoyed the Opera, loved to dance to big band and attended Sunday Mass whenever she could.

Olga was preceded in death by her siblings; Dora, Mack, Mary-Lou and Frank and her Husband Rodolfo M. Reyes, Sr. She is survived by her twin children; Rudy Reyes, Jr. and Shelley Hinojosa (David V. Hinojosa), her grandchildren Rudy Reyes, III, Adrian Reyes(Laura), Deiedre Reyes-Garcia (Mariano), David Matthew Hinojosa (Beth), Gabriel Hinojosa, and her Great-Grandchildren, Cameron Reyes, Brody Reyes, Casey Reyes, Roslyn Garcia, Brooklyn Garcia, Isabella Hinojosa, David Michael Hinojosa, and Christian Hinojosa.
