Orlando P. Garcia passed away on April 8, 2021 at the age of 70. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved him.
Orlando served as a Sgt. in the United States Army. He loved fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 35 years of dedicated service.
He was preceded in death by his son, Javier Rene Garcia; grandson, Javier Rene Garcia, Jr.; parents, Leonel and Alma Garcia; and sister, Leonarda “Kita” Garcia-Sanchez.
Orlando is survived by his wife of 15 years, Rosalinda Garcia; children, Priscilla (Alfredo) Garcia, Orlando (Stephanie) Garcia Jr, and Venessa Garcia; six stepchildren; grandchildren, Alina Garcia, Christian I. Garcia, Brandon I. Canales, Ethan E. Garcia, Alfredo Garcia Jr, Jonathon E. Canales, Ava Rose Garcia, and Jaeson S. Hernandez; siblings, Rolando “Quate” Garcia, Alan (Ana) Garcia, and Leonel Garcia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a rosary and funeral liturgy to begin at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
