Oscar Treviño Obituary

Oscar Trevino passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 24, 2024. He was born on September 14, 1954, and was raised by his adoptive parents Carlos Sr. and Isabel Trevino. Oscar's journey through life was marked by joy, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones.

Professionally, Oscar was a man of many talents. Known as a jack of all trades, he contributed his skills to the family business, Trevino Plumbing Company. He also served his community through various roles including Custodian for the Alice Independent School District and working with the City of Alice Street and Parks Dept. His work ethic shone brightly at Joslin's Catering and in the Oilfield. However, his favorite job was being a roadie for El Conjunto de Los Hermanitos Cadena, due to his love for music.

Oscar lived his life to the fullest, always happy with a smile on his face. He was ready to give a helping hand to those in need. Dancing to Tejano music was his most joyful fun filled activity. Family gatherings, barbecues, and just spending time with family and friends were always a highlight. A die-hard Cowboys fan, Oscar's loyalty never wavered, win or lose. He also enjoyed playing chalupa, an activity that brought laughter and togetherness to many occasions.

Oscar was a loving, caring, and generous father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend. His grandchildren were his pride and joy and the light of his life and he took every opportunity to express his love for them and to spoil them with their every wish.

Oscar is proceeded in death by his wife, Zoila D. Trevino; his parents, Carlos Sr. and Isabel Trevino; his, brother Carlos Trevino Jr; and half-brothers, Rodolfo Serna, Rodolfo Segura, Luero Segura, and Norberto Segura.

Left to cherish his memories are his beloved daughter, Maria Trevino (Adrian Reyna); Monica (Frank) Gaitan, whom he treated and loved as a daughter; his biological mother, Celestina M. (Norberto R.) Segura; his brother, Rogelio Trevino; his half-brothers, Rodolfo Serna, Lucero Segura, and Rodolfo Segura, his half-sisters, Terecita (Terry) Segura, Virginia Segura, and Susana Segura; sister-in-law, Rosalinda Trevino; his grandchildren, Issac Jones, Juanita Ysabel Jones, Danny Carlos Jones, and Trinidad Perez; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends.

As we say goodbye to Oscar, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. He will be missed, but the warmth of his memory will continue to comfort us all.
