Rachel Martinez Flores

Rachel Martinez Flores, a beloved mother, wife, and friend, passed away peacefully in Corpus Christi, Texas on September 26, 2023, at the age of 59. Born in Beeville, Texas on October 22, 1963, to Equiterio Martinez and Concepcion Garcia, Rachel's journey was marked by an unwavering dedication to her family, a passion for helping people, and a heart full of love.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Leroy Martinez. Rachel's love for family was boundless and she leaves behind her loving husband, Domingo Flores; sons, Robert (Jennifer) Flores and Roger Flores; brother, Eddie (Cindy) Martinez; half siblings, Josefina Martinez, Emilia Rodriguez, Equiterio Martinez, and Maria Del Rosario (Jose) Delgado; nephews, Daniel and Michael Flores; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Each of them held a special place in Rachel's heart and her love for them was evident in every interaction.

Rachel's professional life was as full and rewarding as her personal life. She spent her career at Rockport Independent School District (ISD), where she was known for her dedication and commitment.

Despite the sorrow of her passing, Rachel's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones. Her legacy of love and dedication will continue to inspire those who knew her, and her life will serve as a testament to the profound impact one person can have on the lives of many. In the face of this loss, we remember Rachel Martinez Flores not just for the time we had with her, but for the love she gave, and the lives she touched. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life, remembering the love she had for her family, and the enduring impact she had on those around her. It was a life well-lived, full of warmth, and a profound commitment to others. As we say goodbye to Rachel, we do so with heavy hearts, but also with gratitude for the time we had with her, the love she shared, and the memories we will forever hold dear.

Rachel’s family will have a memorial service on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara at Port Ave. Services will conclude in the chapel.
