Ramiro “Mula” Gonzales passed away on June 10, 2021 at the age of 63. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Ramiro coached baseball for many years at International Little League and South Side Little League; and was an umpire in the Coastal Bend area. Ramiro graduated from Miller High School and was an avid Buc fan, as they say, “Once a Buc, Always a Buc”. He will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved him.
Ramiro is survived by his daughters, Jessica Gonzales, Erica (James) Escatiola, and Amy (Billy) Gonzales; son, Ramsey (Jennifer) Gonzales; girlfriend, Odie Cordova; brothers, Rey Gonzales-his twin and Roland (Shana) Gonzales; sister, Rosemary (Bob) Amaro; grandchildren, Izaac (Courtney) Cruz, Emily (Justin) Escatiola, Bryanna (Jordan) Gamez, RJ Cruz, Anthony Escatiola, Gavin Gonzales, Gage Gonzales, and Jocelyn Gonzales; great-grandchildren, Braelynn Cruz, Amari Gamez, and another great-grandchild on the way; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many best friends; especially all his Buc family.
The family will receive condolences on Thursday, June 17, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A chapel service will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Treviño Funeral Home. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
