Ricardo Maldonado

Ricardo Maldonado passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020, at a Corpus Christi Hospital at the age of 68. He was born April 7, 1952 to Patricio V. Maldonado and Ernestina A. Maldonado in Falfurrias, Texas. Ricardo was a welder for over 40 years. 

After retiring from Tennessee Pipeline and Halliburton, he spent most of his time doing what he loved most; working on his house, gardening, welding, and spending time with his wife, kids, and grandchildren. Although he had many successes, his most rewarding purpose was contributing to the happiness and well-being of his sons, daughters, and those he treated as his own children. He taught them to be loving, hardworking, and generous. He also taught them the love of hard work while enjoying and respecting the nature surrounding them. Passing this along to his grandchildren brought him even greater joy. Ricardo was a principled man who sought to help those had a run of misfortune or had no way to fend for themselves. He was an honorable and dignified man who lived a happy and fulfilling life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Maximo "Max" Maldonado, Miguel "Mike" Maldonado, and Patricio Maldonado Jr.

Ricardo is survived by wife, Edelmira (Millie) Maldonado of Falfurrias; three sons, Michael Huerta (Roni), Jose “Joey” Maldonado of Galveston, and Ricardo  “Ricky” Maldonado of Falfurrias, Texas; two daughters, Maxine Tina Montoya  (Gino) of San Antonio and Jessica Maldonado of Laredo; one brother, Hector Maldonado (Grace) of Falfurrias; and eleven grandchildren.
