Salvador Sanchez Obituary

Salvador Sanchez passed away on May 11, 2020 at the age of 77.  He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  Salvador graduated in 1961 from Lyford High School, Lyford Texas. He then proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961to 1965. He was stationed out of Lowry Air Force Base, Colorado as an Organizational Supply Specialist. Salvador raised four children from his second marriage on his own after his wife passed away on February 5, 1984. He was a Denver Broncos sports fan and loved listening to music. Salvador loved everyone he knew and enjoyed cooking for anyone who was ready to eat his homemade meals and Mexican pancakes (tortillas). He will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria del Rosario Segovia de Sanchez; son, Salvador Sanchez; parents, Bruno and Englantina Sanchez; sisters, Maria Sanchez Gomez and Beatrice Sanchez; brothers, Carlos (Janice) Sanchez and Roberto Sanchez; daughter-in-law, Marissa Lynn Serrell-Sanchez; and great-grandson, Marcos Fabian Kayleb Sanchez.

Salvador leaves his memories to be cherished by his daughters, Sonia Sanchez-Blanco (Jose) and Vanessa Sanchez-Garcia (Ricardo Jr.); sons, Fabian Sanchez, Mario Sanchez (Liza), and Gerardo Sanchez; daughter-in-law, Annette Sanchez; grandchildren, Elizabeth Rodriguez (Martin), Fabian Sanchez II, Erin Sanchez, Lindsey Sanchez, Joe Blanco II, Juan Carolos “JC” Blanco, Isabella Ann Blanco, Yazmine Sanchez, Elijah Sanchez, Michael Garcia, Aaliyah Garcia, Isaiah Garcia, Zena Sanchez, and Zackarya Sanchez; great-grandchildren, Hayden Sanchez and Nathaniel Rodriguez; sister, Maria Lily Hernandez (Florencio); and brother, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

The family would like to give thanks to all the doctors, nurses, and therapists who cared for Salvador in his last months. In addition, the family would like to thank everyone who prayed, text, called, and showed their support in any way through the difficult journey we embarked in recent months.
